Capitol Climate Action Activists stand before Federal Police blocking the gates of Capitol Power Plant in Washington, DC, March 2, 2009. More than 2,500 former coal miners, ministers, mothers, students, and climate activists, representing over 40 states from Arizona to Appalachia, successfully blocked all five entrances to the Capitol Power Plant for nearly four hours today, forming the largest display of civil disobedience on the climate crisis in U.S. history.
On the shore of the Harrison river I captured some action. It all started when one hard working eagle dragged a dead salmon to shore to dine one. It did get a bit of feed before it was noticed by it's cousins and it was driven away and there was a dispute as to who got the fish. The original eagle flew elsewhere and I think the salmon may have washed further down stream while the disputes when on.

It is time again for the weekly challenge - action. This is one of my photos from our day at the Northern beaches yesterday. This is a surfer under a wave with the tip of the surfboard jutting out of the wave.
Poor Max has been ill with the flu this week so I thought I'd try and cheering him up by turning him into something slightly more...germ resistant.

There is a bench I can sit on near the action at Snapper Rocks. I don't have to move far and Tre drops me off right there. So I let the kids in the surf do the moving. Despite the surf being painfully small of late, its a nice outing.
i took the action sampler on holiday to turkey. i took some photos. i then completely forgot about the exposed roll of film until i found it about three years later. the combination of the sampler's erratic nature and the old film made for some interesting results.
Not just red, but "Action Red" is the official name of the color of Canadian Pacific Railroad locomotives.
